Where Enlightenment Meets Extravagance
Experience the grandeur of the Kumbh Mela enveloped in an environment that is cosseted with chiming bells, incense and flower fragrance interspersing flawlessly with the smoke from the havan kunds (fire places), vedic hymns, mantras, drum- beats, the blare of conchs and the ring of holy bells. This ethereal and hypnotic ambience emits a trance like no other. Witness the naga sadhus and throngs of devotees display their paramount vigor as they take a holy dip in the freezing waters, with the sole purpose of surrender to the almighty and seeking nirvana.
Sangam Nivas is dedicated to provide the quintessential essence of the Kumbh Mela to seekers of spirituality and well-being, while bringing forth the holistic aspects of Indian philosophy and mythology. We have put together an unparalleled, multi-sensory journey into the very heart of the Kumbh Mela that will help our guests connect with the spiritual aspect of this unique spectacle.
Exclusive excursions and activities will be arranged for guests to witness the sea of fervent devotees performing their rituals and offering prayers. Whether you choose to interact one- on-one with the sadhus and seers, photograph this truly magnificent spiritual congregation, or simply observe and absorb the mystical manifestation of faith in its most splendid display, the opportunities on offer are limitless.
Positioned at the highest point of the Kumbh Mela, Sangam Nivas offers the perfect vantage point for guests to observe and soak in the atmosphere of the Kumbh. The camp is directly in line with the Sangam, the main bathing area and overlooks the Akharas of the sadhus, religious communities and seers. An exclusive viewing terrace adds to the experience, by offering the guests a chance to marvel at the ocean of enthusiastic devotees, without leaving the comforts of the camp. Telescopes and binoculars will be available for guests to get a panoramic view of the Kumbh Mela.
Locations include Kashi, Akharas, Varanasi and the Kathmandu in Nepal.
