Heather Small, LMT, Maharishi Ayurveda Body Worker, Reiki II, Thai Yoga Massage (trained in Thailand) and Advanced Herbal Training, Owner of Metta Wellness Ayurveda, Massage and Herbal Wellness.  Heather has worked as a Massage Therapist and Ayurvedic Body-Worker for over 10 years. She has continued with her training in different types of massage and energy work to then combine them into a style of her own. She weaves together Thai yoga stretching, a gentle flow of meditative movements, with deeper compressions along with energy work. "My work has been described as slow and intentional, and I will slow done the pace of my work and go into an area( back, thigh, hip etc) with a concentration. This style of work allows me to be flexible with my clients and strive to find the tools that will be best to suit the goal of my clients, to leave them feeling balanced in their body, mind and spirit."

In addition to massage, Heather offers Herbal Consults and has completed her Advanced Herbal Apprenticeship, allowing her to bring in more ways for her clients to learn and add to their healing toolbox. With the help of her family, Heather harvests her own herbs from local organic farms, or on the family land in the Berkshires, working with the plants to create her own oils, salves and teas to nourish the body. These oils are made with a time tested process of harvesting organic plants and working with traditional methods to extract the volatile healing properties of the herbs used. Once the herbalized oils are made, she can then add essential oils to them on a one on one basis to create a personalized oil for each client.
